I hadn't drawn a horse since I was about 15, and back then my attempts were shaky, so I thought I'd have a go at painting a horse's head to see if I could. I'm pretty pleased with it.  I might try a full body picture at some point. A fairy quick painting. I didn't take any notice of how long it took but I did the whole thing today.  I'd guess I spent maybe 3 or 4 hours on it.I am offering commissions for paintings like this or like Proud, Wild ([link]). If you have an animal character you would like me to paint, I am offering these digital paintings for £50 ($80). Comments This is beautiful! The color choices for the head are very nice, and I like the fading from blue to white.

It's just that I never used to draw them very well when I was younger. I guess I pay more attention to what I'm doing now. Thanks so much!   -- Blasphemy is a victimless crime  Oh so beautiful! It's so magical looking. I love the composition too.
-- Daqueran - webcomic | in print and pre-orders of Daqueran I started doing the image just using blue, turquoise, green and white but it really needed a bit of contrasting colour to bring out the form. So peach/pink it was!

I haven't done such a long and narrow painting before. At first, I was going to do more of a closeup and sketched the horse's head much bigger (there was hardly any neck) and it just looked squashed, the poor thing.  -- Blasphemy is a victimless crime I love long narrow paintings
